NRL: Bulldogs set to name new coach

Canterbury are reportedly set to announce Jim Dymock as their NRL head coach for 2012 by the end of the week.

Dymock is expected to sign a one-year deal, leaving the way open for Canterbury to continue a big money push to sign Manly premiership-winning coach Des Hasler for 2013, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Dymock, who took over as Bulldogs caretaker coach after the mid-season sacking of head coach Kevin Moore, won five of the eight games he was at the helm for.

Hasler has reportedly been offered as much as $750,000 a season to switch to Canterbury but has indicated he will honour his commitment to guide the Sea Eagles again in 2012.

The Manly mentor has a year to run on a contract reportedly worth $400,000 a year.
