MATCH STATUS:
The Black Caps top order has crumbled with the dismissal of three wickets for 25/3 inside the first hour of the second test against Australia.
Captain Ross Taylor was the latest batsman to go down after he was out for lbw by Peter Siddle on 6 runs.
Jesse Ryder went walking back to the pavilion after umpire Nigel Llong reversed his not out decision.
Michael Clarke's review call came up trumps for the homeside with the ball tracker showing that the ball would've gone on to hit leg stump after making contact with the batsman's pad.
Peter Siddle's delivery had the right amount of movement which turned away and nicked Martin Guptill's bat before going on to wicketkeeper Brad Haddin.
Earlier New Zealand's most experienced cricketer Dan Vettori has beeen forced out of today's test due to injury.
The 32-year-old allrounder, who would have been playing his 107th test, twinged a hamstring in training yesterday, aggravated it this morning before the start and withdrew from the New Zealand lineup.
His place has gone to left arm swing bowler Trent Boult, who wins his first test cap.
It gives New Zealand a four-pronged fast-medium attack and no frontline spinner on a pitch expected to strongly favour seam bowlers.
Australian captain Michael Clarke won the toss and sent New Zealand in to bat at Bellerive Oval.
Australia won the first test by nine wickets in Brisbane, and have stuck with an unchanged XI for the match, which is New Zealand's fourth test in Tasmania.
