More than 1500 runners and walkers form a sea of faces at the start line for the Buller Gorge half-marathon on Saturday morning. Both the half and full marathons ran smoothly, with a total field of 2080 making their way through the scenic course to the finish line at Victoria Square, in Westport. Race
director Dennis Straker said numbers were down slightly on last year but “still up there with the good years”.
