Rugby: Young and Brown tipped as Otago coaches

Tony Brown and Phil Young were not named as Otago coaches yesterday, although it appears only paperwork is getting in the way of the duo stepping into the roles.

The coaching appointments were discussed at a union board meeting in Dunedin on Monday night and it was thought the two men would be named as next season's Otago team coaches yesterday.

But Otago Rugby Football Union general manager Richard Reid said yesterday he could not say who the coaches were, as paperwork had not been completed.

He said an announcement would be made in due course.
