The largest crowd to see a basketball game in New Zealand just got bigger, with the official figure for last month's Breakers defeat of Sydney at Vector Arena bumped up from 6300 to 6900.
The final ticket number takes into account all corporate hospitality ticketing and additional ticket allocations for members that were not included in the crowd number given on the night.
"We had a few people who know Vector Arena suggest on the night that the crowd seemed closer to 7000 than the number released at the game,'' Breakers' general manager Richard Clarke said. "The official count now confirms those suspicions.''
The Breakers hope to beat that figure when they play two more games at Vector Arena, and they are also planning to play their playoff games there if they progress that far in the ANBL.
On Friday the Breakers, who are on top of the ANBL ladder after five wins from their six games, host the Wollongong Hawks at the North Shore Events Centre.
