Weepu thanks fans for support

All Black halfback Piri Weepu has tweeted to thank fans for their support following the a funeral service for his grandfather yesterday.

"Thank you all for your messages of support. Was a great day to send my grandfather off. Love yas all! RIP Johnny Lui... X,'' he wrote today (Wednesday).

The 28-year-old was told by family his grandfather had died an hour after he inspired the All Blacks to quarterfinal victory over Argentina on Sunday.
