Wales wing Shane Williams says he plans to retire from international rugby after his country's match against Australia in December.

Williams had floated the idea of quitting after the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand ended this month but has decided to make himself available for the Dec. 3 match in Cardiff so that he can finish on home soil.

The 34-year-old Williams says "I will treat it in the same way I have always treated Wales games, but it will be a sad day for me ... I'll be devastated."

Williams scored three tries at the World Cup to take his tally to 57 in 86 appearances for Wales, helping his team to finish in fourth place.
